1. What’s the time of the day when you feel most like yourself?

Whenever I've taken my shower. I feel inspired and ready for anything, including breakfast.

2. What’s your coffee order?

Iced coffee with nutmeg and honey.

3. How would you describe yourself in three words?

Sunny, occasional clouds.

4. What do you think of garden gnomes?

I don't, generally.

5. Fauxmance or only one bed?

Faux all the way!

6. What makes you smile?

Cat videos. Good puns. My mom dancing.

7. Do you believe in soulmates?

No.

8. What author would you switch lives with for a day?

Karin Slaughter. She's amazing.

9. What makes you cry?

Any book/movie with a mildly sad or touching scene. I'm a sucker.

10. What’s your best feature?

Lips.


11. What was the best and the worst thing about high school?

Best: My English class. Worst: High School.

12. Favorite movie character?

Petra from When Night is Falling.


13. In a crowded room, what makes you notice a woman?

Her walk, how she makes her way through the room. If there's a gridlock, her smile.

14. What’s your one big regret?

Graduate school.

15. What would be the title of your autobiography?

A Pleasure Seeker on Tour.

16. Three women you’d have over for dinner and what would you serve?

My best friend, Karin Slaughter, and Diana King. Creamy pumpkin soup, crab fettucini alfredo, ackee and saltfish (w dumplings and green bananas), an assortment of fresh-baked breads, Midnight Cake from Alons in Atlanta, and strawberries with Nutella.

17. What would you do with a million dollars?

Make my mom comfortable. Then travel, eat, laze until my portion of the money runs out.

18. What’s the one thing you don’t leave home without (wallet/phone/keys don’t count)?

A book to read.

19. If you could choose one song to be played every time you enter a room, what song would that be and why?

Dancehall Queen (by Chevelle Franklyn and Beenie) bc it's a good hip rolling tune and gives me something to aspire to.

20. What’s the one book you wish you could read again for the first time?

So many... When I was younger, I'd wish for amnesia so I could read all my favorites again for the first time. I didn't think that desire through.
